Hi! I'm Ashley!

I'm a wife, mother and lifestyle photographer specializing in family photography. I  have always had a love for photography, before the days of camera phones, I never left home without my trusty point and shoot. When I am not behind my camera I love a strong cup of coffee, camping with my little fam, time spent with friends and playdates, a good podcast and a little yoga.

I learned from a young age that life’s moments pass by so quickly and a photograph is a way to treasure those moments forever. That thought truly resonates with me now with two small girls of my own. I think part of why I love family photography so much is because I wish I had more photos of my own family when I was growing up. Sure, we did the cheesy studio portraits every few years but I don't have many photos of the real life moments with the people who mattered. Life is short and tomorrow is not guaranteed. These photos are your legacy and something that your family will cherish in the years to come. 

Being a photographer is so much more to me than just a person who takes a pretty picture. I am a wardrobe consultant, tantrum diffuser and I strive to give you the confidence to be comfortable in your own skin so you can relax and rock your session. I truly feel connected to my families and often the line between client and friend becomes blurred. It is my ultimate goal to make you feel more like you are going for a walk in the park with an old friend rather than have some stranger take your photo.

Obviously I am a  photographer and love what I do but here are a few random facts about me:

• My sister in law convinced me to go out with my husband because she thought we would be perfect together. That was 13 years ago!

• I feel like I was destined to be a girl mom. People always ask if we will try for a boy (as if having 2 of the same gender is a bad thing) - my head says no more babies but my heart will always want more babies.

• We have all girl fur babies too! My dogs were my babies before I had human babies. The dogs have human names Mya & Chloe but are more often called Mikey and Coco and I have no idea why. We also have a cat named Mischa that was an (unwanted) surprise from my husband.

• Growing up I always wanted to be a stay at home mom. But it turns out life is really expensive and I actually really enjoy working so I found a job that gives me the best of both the SAHM and working mom worlds.

• I hate driving but love my little Escape. Getting it was actually a huge surprise. I don't mind passengering as long as I get to ride shot gun because I get terribly car sick.

• I am such a city girl but love to escape and go camping with my little fam or go to Sicamous to stay at our beach house (my daughter started calling it the beach house and it stuck)
